The time has come to use Israel’s dizzying success in technological innovation and entrepreneurship to promote the Israeli education system!

The time has come to Reinvent Education

Vision

To revolutionize the Israeli educational system by turning classrooms into hubs of innovation using technology and cutting-edge pedagogies so that students are ready to lead and face down the complex challenges of our modern world.

To engage in research, development, and implementation on the most socially-relevant, innovative, and effective forms of teaching and learning for our modern society given the real constraints of class size, school conditions, testing requirements, and more, that Israeli schools and their educators face.

Makers workshop at a highschool in Natanya for research students

On Feb 1, 2023, a group of research students attended a workshop led by Yuval Segev, leader of the Reinvent Maker Education Program at the "Handisiya" - a maker space located in a highschool in Netanya. The purpose of the trip was to observe Making-in-action as a way to learn more about this promising approach to revolutionalize education and to gain inspiration for the University of Haifa Maker Education Lab. The workshop participants engaged in several activities organized by Segev, including the creative construction of noise-making machines using a combination of technologies. A new course on Maker Education will begin in the Spring semester (2023), to be co-led and designed by Yuval Segev and Dr. Yotam Hod.
